Tuesday, June 10th, from 7-9 p.m., New York area radio host, author and animal lover Vicki Solá signs copies of her zany fantasy The Getaway That Got Away (Full Court Press) at Sofrito Restaurant, 400 E. 57th St., N.Y., N.Y.  All proceeds from the evening’s sales will be donated to The Animal Medical Center.  The Getaway That Got Away, suitable for ages 11 through 111, details the adventures of Latina Alice in Wonderland, Nicki Rodriguez, who finds herself trapped in a dimension somewhere between New Jersey and outer space.  There, she meets up with Dr. B. Gneeecey, an extraterrestrial Underdog-gone-bad.  The story’s canine-humanoid characters are based on Sola’s beloved pet dogs, Dr. B. Gneeecey, Sooperflea and Flubbubb, and pet mouse Altitude. ###
